The Scandinavian Journal of Forest Research publishes original articles relevant to forests and forestry of boreal and temperate regions, including the forestry-to-wood production chain.

The journal accepts original papers of high scientific quality and international interest in the entire field of forest research from basic to more applied subjects including:

  • wood science and technology
  • silviculture
  • forest utilization
  • forest planning
  • management and economics
  • marketing

In addition to original articles and research contributed by international academics and professionals from within the forest industry, the journal presents a very popular News & Views section covering topical issues and items concerning R&D in the forest industry sector.

Scandinavian Journal of Forest Research is published six times per year on behalf of the Nordic Forest Research Co-operation Committee (SNS).
